Join Scottish Book Trust for this introductory session to Read Write Count with the First Minister.

Read Write Count is a national campaign to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of Scotland’s children. As part of the campaign, every child in Primary 2-3 receives a free bag with books and activities to support their learning. It aims to build parents' confidence, and encourage families to include easy and fun reading, writing and counting activities in their everyday lives.

P2 and P3 teachers play a key role in the delivery of Read Write Count. Come along to this session to find out what sort of things you might find in the Read Write Count bags. Get inspiration on how to make the most of Read Write Count and hear about how other teachers have embedded the programme into their work with children and families.

This session is suitable for student teachers, teachers beginning their probation year in August and teachers who are new to the P2/P3 stage. The webinar will be held on Microsoft Teams, with meeting details and a link to access the session shared in advance.
