The Serengeti: a fight for survival
Can we find sustainable solutions to human-wildlife conflict?
For most of us, the Serengeti conjures magical images of wildlife and beautiful wild spaces.
But what does it mean for local populations when elephants destroy vital crops which they depend on for survival? Or lions decimate a herd of livestock, or injures somebody?
Protected areas for wildlife are disappearing, and – with the human population ever increasing – tensions in the Serengeti are running high.
When endangered species are in the firing line, and the threats to human life are also numerous, can we find solutions which respect all life?
