About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

This is an annual event that takes place on the first Sunday in May, all around the World for people to come together to share laughter. The intention is to Laugh for World Peace and World Health, being mindful of the people in Ukraine, Middle East and other parts of the World.

The celebration of World Laughter Day is a positive manifestation for World Peace and is intended to build up a global consciousness of brotherhood and friendship through laughter. Its popularity has grown exponentially with that of the Laughter Yoga movement (that celebrates 30 years since its inception in 1995) now counting thousands of Laughter Clubs in more than 120 countries.

When the giggles start, the eyes squint, the mouth curls up and an uncontrollable urge to chortle and snortle envelopes the whole body. It feels delicious and is very infectious.

Let’s play, dance, sing and laugh to bring the four elements of joy to all around us on this special day and, as the date and ‘Star Wars’ implies …. May the Fourth be with us
