About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

Join weaving expert Agnis Smallwood for a day learning to spin yarn. There will be lots of wool fibre available to use throughout the workshop both dyed and natural allowing you to create and design your own hand spun yarn.

As well as learning to spin you will also learn how to ply your yarn using the Andean plying technique.

This workshop would be great for those who love the idea of being able to include bespoke spun elements into their craft projects.

You will leave the workshop with new knowledge as well as a small amount of your own hand spun yarn!

This workshop is aimed at beginners with no experience. Some dexterity is needed for this workshop.

Things to bring

Yourselves, ideas , a packed lunch (there are also places to buy lunch in the mill and on Farsley Town Street.)

We will provide

Refreshments (drinks and cake!), all materials and equipment.
