With the increase of hybrid-publishing and self-publishing, the responsibility for authors to sell their own books has never been greater.
Do you need to increase your confidence selling at in-person events like book fairs, book launches or after church?
Do you need to increase your skills at selling online via Amazon, email marketing or crowdfunding?
We have six workshops to choose from and even though you have to choose three on the day, you'll be emailed a link to the first 20 minutes of all six so you don't miss out. (We won't record any interactive or Q&A aspects of the workshops in order to preserve the privacy of attendees).
Ruth Leigh is a novelist and freelance writer living in beautiful East Suffolk with three children, one husband, and a cat.
She’s been writing content and blogs for charities and small Suffolk businesses for the last fifteen years and loves adding value with words.
She published her first novel, The Diary of Isabella M Smugge, in February 2021. The second novel, The Trials of Isabella M Smugge, followed in October 2021; the third, The Continued Times of Isabella M Smugge, was published in 2022 and the fourth, The Further Adventures of Isabella M Smugge, in August 2024.
In 2023, Ruth published the Jane Austen-inspired book A Great Deal of Ingenuity in July and The Little Book of Unexpected Poetry in October.
Brendan Conboy
After founding a charity, performing as a Christian rap artist and a long calling in youth work, Brendan stepped down from his position as charity CEO and embarked on a new path. In 2015 he was inspired to write his biography and has since published 15 more books including novels, poetry and more. His marketing and communication skills enabled the charity to grow and develop. With diplomas in copy editing and proofreading, plus digital marketing Brendan now provides services to raise the profile of organisations and individuals. Andrew Whitman is an evangelist and retired pastor who, thirteen years ago, started researching his revival roots in the Jesus People Movement (1967-1974). "When Jesus Met Hippies: the Story and Legacy of the Jesus People Movement in the UK" was published on 20th November 2023 with Malcolm Down Publishing. He has since toured the UK with his book and presentation, selling over 400 copies in person.
Joanne Gilchrist is a writer, charity founder and mother of three. Her first book, Looking for Love, is her testimony of God’s grace as a young, single Christian. All her other writing is for children including God for Kids app, Animals of Eden Valley books, Next Steps to Following Jesus and a collection of short stories for SunScool app. She founded the UK charity Ruach Resources and has run multiple crowdfunders, two of which successfully raised the funds to hybrid-publish two books.
