The session will provide an overview of mental health, prevalence, and practical tips for those working with individuals who are experiencing a mental health problem or in distress.

It will cover:

  • mental health awareness

  • communication techniques
  • de-escalation skills

  • taking care of your own wellbeing in your role

The course will be 2.5 hours long and will be interactive in nature.

This course follows on from the Well at Work (mental health awareness) course. However it is not necessary to have attended the Well at Work course to benefit from this course.

Please note the training room at the Law Centre is down a flight of stairs. There is no lift. People with limited mobility might find access difficult.
