Alternative Stories
Alternative Stories is an independent production company making drama, poetry and audio fiction content. We have made numerous audio drama productions working with writers and actors to turn their stories into compelling, immersive listening experiences. We have provided content to the BBC and to overseas broadcasters, represented the UK at the International Radio Drama Festival and been nominated in the international AudioVerse Awards for podcast dramas. Our podcast is frequently heard in the upper reaches of the Apple podcast charts in the UK and elsewhere.
The workshops and course we offer are as follows:

- Audio drama, from script to production (co-presented with Emily Inkpen, novelist and writer of the science fiction audio drama The Dex Legacy)
- The art of the audio monologue (co-presented with a member of our acting team who will perform the monologues we discuss)

- An introduction to voice work from voice acting to voiceover (co-presented with actress and voice professional Tiffany Clare)
- Writing for audio: an introduction to audio fiction and audio poetry
- An introduction to podcasting for businesses and individuals
- Audio play in a day - a practical workshop
