AVATAR

AVATAR (Autistic Voices Advocating Together for Autonomous Rights) is an Autistic People’s Organisation (APO) run by and for autistic adults in the Scottish Borders.

We believe: All autistic adults have the right to a good quality of life.

We aim: To empower autistic people to support each other and advocate for our rights so that we are able to thrive across every area of life.

With so little support available for autistic adults in the Borders, we need to find ways to support each other.

AVATAR aims to improve the quality of life of autistic adults in the Scottish Borders by:

- Building a community of autistic people

- Providing accessible and practical support

- Community engagement activities to increase the understanding, acceptance and meaningful inclusion of autistic people
