Celtic FC Foundation
Celtic Football Club was formed to significantly change the lives and wellbeing of local people in Glasgow’s East End who lived in severe poverty and lacked opportunity and education.
While the world has moved on in many regards, for some in society not a great deal has changed. Charity and creating opportunity remains a core competence of Celtic and its charitable arm, Celtic FC Foundation. Our charitable ethos and social conscious will always remain part of our identity alongside footballing excellence.
The welfare and development of children and families are uppermost in our thoughts. We believe that the family unit is our number one priority and that children within those families are supported, encouraged and developed fully.
While we are far from an ideal world we believe that the vehicle of sport, football in particular, can deliver good for society.
Our priority is to provide assistance to those who face daily challenges within our key priority areas; Health, Equality, Learning and Poverty. In addition we offer support in the form of delivery and/or partnership to external charities and other organisations who offer value in the community and whose principles fit within these key priority areas.
