Dr. Ro has spent the last 27 years helping to improve outcomes for students in K-12 and higher education. Currently, she is the CEO of DREAM Education, a boutique consulting firm that offers programs and services to school districts, nonprofit organizations and communities in the areas of program development, advocacy and professional development. Her own story of "Darkness to Light" as discussed in her book, The Testimony, is one of courage, tenacity and purpose. She lives an imperfectly perfect life!
Dr. Ro enjoys leveraging her knowledge and skills to support communities in education leadership, curriculum design, research, school accreditation, special education advocacy and community development. She serves on several boards and is the co-founder of Kensington Arts and Education, a nonprofit organization that promotes Social Emotional Wellness through the Arts. Previously, Dr. Ro has served as a campus and school district administrator, teacher and professor. She is an accomplished clarinetist, author and international educator who holds several certifications in Education, including Director of Special Education and School Superintendency.
Dr. Ro holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Grambling State University and a Master of Education in Special Education with an emphasis on Severe/Emotional Behavior Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Autism. Additionally, she holds a Doctor of Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas and post-graduate studies from Minnesota State University.
Dr. Ro is the proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She is also an active member of the National Association for Black School Educators, Kappa Delta Pi for Educators, Tau Beta Sigma Honorary Band Sorority and affiliated with numerous organizations serving schools and communities.
Dr.Ro's most noteworthy accomplishments are her adult children, Michael and Mia.
