Esme first fully committed to Yoga and Reiki when she became a mother 22 years ago. Yoga was her release – the connection she needed to her body, her opportunity to feed her soul and find balance. Reiki was the answer she was searching for – her connection to spirituality, the link to something bigger than her.
After training in a number of holistic forms, including Bach Flower Remedies and Kinesiology, she studied A Course on Miracles. This which was a real eye opener for Esme. Her way to make peace with her religious upbringing. Learning to read the Akashic Records, of which she is now a master, gave her guidance; the chance to hear her soul whispering which direction to take.
It was Esme’s own experiences that turned her into a yogi and a master in both Reiki and the Akashic Records. And it’s because of her ability to use these experiences, to combine them with her body’s inner-wisdom and an insight on self-healing, that Esme is so popular. She understands the needs of her students and is able to help them both on and off the mat.
In a healing environment, Esme gives her students and clients the opportunity to grow spiritually, push their bodies physically, and embrace who they are. She believes the best teacher is one’s self, and her job is simply to pass on the knowledge to help others to practice yoga and heal in a safe manner. This gives them the tools they need to build a strong body, mind and soul.
Esme teaches with a great sense of joy and energy, compassion and creativity. Her classes are challenging and fun, explorative and rejuvenating, and will leave you with a lasting impression on how you can approach your own personal practice. Knowing that each body is different, she uses her years of experience to suit everyone in her classes.
In addition to private clients and weekly classes, Esme runs yoga retreats throughout Scotland and Spain, as well as various other locations. She also runs therapy trainings including Reiki and Akashic Records, and teacher trainings including a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, and the Art of Creating Sequencing, a programme designed to help Vinyasa teachers perfect their sequencing ability and prevent yogi burnout.
