About Harrogate and Nidderdale Art Club
The Harrogate and Nidderdale Art Club welcomes new members with an interest in painting, of all ages and abilities.
The club was founded in 1936 by thirteen artists calling themselves the 'Harrogate Group of Artists'. Then in 1948 its name changed to the 'Nidderdale Art Club'. The club has grown and developed ever since and is now known as 'The Harrogate and Nidderdale Art Club', we have around 60 members.
Club Nights:The club meets on Thursday evenings between 7 and 9 p.m. from the first Thursday in September running through to the last Thursday in June. We have a structured programme of activities throughout the year including: demonstrations, life models, still life, workshops, talks and film screenings.
How to join:
New members of all abilities are welcome with no prerequisites just a love of painting. It's a great way to further your interest in art and also to make new friends. Exhibitions:Exhibitions are held in the Spring and Autumn each year at Ripley Town Hall.
