According to tradition, Umoja, meaning "unity" in Swahili, embodies the principle of solidarity and collective effort. The well serves as a gathering place where communities come together to share resources, resolve conflicts, and celebrate important milestones. It symbolizes the strength and resilience found in unity, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and mutual support in building thriving societies. Through the Well of Umoja, this organization aims to support and promote the interconnectedness of individuals and the power of solidarity in achieving common goals.
